Paige Brooks Biography

Paige Brooks has been successfully pursuing a career as a professional international model and actress. She is also an accomplished dancer and vocalist, studying and performing since the age of three. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Paige is the daughter of a corporate attorney and a former educator/artist. After graduating with honors from preparatory school, this Presidential Scholar pursued scholarship opportunities in New Orleans, finally deciding upon Tulane University for her college education. While at Tulane, she continued her semi-professional career as a ballerina, coupling her love of dance with that of acting and modeling. Despite the strong call of the stage, Paige decided to focus her efforts on broadcast journalism and graduated with a B.A. in Communication/Broadcast Journalism from the Newcomb College of Tulane University. She then prepared to tour the world and make her dreams a reality. While pursuing those dreams, Paige has lived around the globe with stops in New York, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Milano, Italy, and France. She is represented by agencies worldwide including: Wilhelmina (New York), Riccardo Gay (Milano), Michele Pommier/Wilhelmina (Miami), T.H.E. (Washington, D.C.), and San Diego Model Management (San Diego). One of her dreams came true when Paige had the honor of representing her home state of Alabama in the Miss USA Pageant, where she was a Finalist and Swimsuit Winner. With this honor, came many opportunities including a move to Los Angeles. Today, Paige is continuing her career efforts in Los Angeles, where she currently resides and considers the "last stop" on her world tour. Throughout her career, this Wilhelmina Model Search Winner has graced the covers and pages of numerous international magazines including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Modern Bride, Seventeen, Vogue, WWD, Italian Practica, London's That's Life (2 covers), French Maxi, and Beverly Hills [213] (cover story interview and cover shot). Most recently, Paige was interviewed and photographed by world-famous photographer, Don Thompson, for his new magazine, The Green Room. She also has walked the runways of famous designers such as 'Halston' (qv), 'Oscar De la Renta' (qv), St. John, Anna Sui, Carmela Sutera, Victor Alfaro, Jim Hjelm, 'Carolina Herrera (II)' (qv), 'Vivienne Tam' (qv), 'Oleg Cassini' (qv), 'Betsey Johnson' (qv), 'Nicole Miller (X)' (qv), and 'Ralph Lauren' (qv). In addition to her many successes in the world of modeling, Paige has had the opportunity to host numerous programs and events. She hosted the Venus International Model Search competition live at the House of Blues with 'Danny Bonaduce' (qv). Paige also adds to her repertory: host of the first web-a-thon in history for Click2Asia.com, host and spokesperson for IGIA/Tactica International, host for Hughes Space and Communications programming, KYOU-TV anchor and reporter, and international spokesperson for the Zebra Double-Up Putter for golf enthusiasts around the world. She has appeared in film, television, and countless commercials including David's Bridal, Candies Shoes, Burlington Coat Factory, _"Good Morning America" (1975)_ (qv), and her feature film debut performance in 'John Grisham' (qv)'s _The Client (1994)_ (qv). Paige filmed _Men in Black II (2002)_ (qv) with 'Will Smith (I)' (qv) and 'Tommy Lee Jones' (qv) starring as "Princess Lauranna, Queen of the Universe." She has been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers, websites and on radio stations around the world as a result of the film's release. Most notably, Paige was the "cover story" on the home page of Internet Movie Database, the film industry's premiere website. Paige has also been featured as a "Barker's Beauty" on _"The New Price Is Right" (1972)_ (qv), television's longest-running game show, recently voted the "#1 Game Show of All Time" by TV Guide. In addition, she can be seen in a CBS Promo for the Miss USA Pageant-naturally. Recently, Paige signed with a record label and will release a new album within the next year. She can also be heard at various clubs throughout the Los Angeles area singing with The Swank Pharaohs Jazz Band. In her spare time, Paige enjoys ballroom dance, salsa, aerobics, gourmet cooking, and jiu jitsu. She is an active member of The Junior League of Los Angeles, sings in her church choir, and volunteers to cook dinner for her church Bible study. She also loves sharing her life with her two cats: Pontchartrain and Xerxes. Paige is studying Spanish at Santa Monica College, with hopes of one day speaking fluently.
