Star Jones Biography Star Jones (previously Star Jones Reynolds; born March 24, 1962) is an American lawyer, journalist, writer, and television personality. She is known for her former role as a co-host of the ABC weekday morning talk show The View from 1997 to 2006. She was one of sixteen contestants of the fourth installment of Celebrity Apprentice, coming in fifth place. Born Starlet Marie Jones in Badin, North Carolina, Star moved as a child to Trenton, New Jersey. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She earned a B.A. degree in The Administration of Justice at American University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She was initiated in the Lambda Zeta chapter at American University.[citation needed]
